  1. Call to Order- Soh Meacham, President – called meeting to order at 10:05 am
  2. Roll call – Jill Swanson, Soh Meacham, Megan Benson, Julie Anderson Absent: Nancy Wright
    • Guests: Nancy White, Diane Bean
  3. Approval of meeting minutes (September 27, 2025) – tabled to January meeting
  4. Approval and/or additions to the agenda – Jill moved to approve the agenda as presented,  Julie seconded, motion carried
  5. Appointment of Committee to approve minutes – Jill Swanson, Julie Anderson, and Diane Bean
  6.  Officer Reports – Reports were read prior to the meeting and no questions were raised at  the meeting

  7. Old Business
    1. Webinar series or another plan for 2026
      • We need something that would entice people to join and offering as a credit is not  an option.
      • Remember we also need to be financially responsible if something was planned ~Brought up Will from Bookji and Bill from EPS as possible people to offer a webinar  in 2026
      • Offering something is a way to keep us alive and in front of people
      • Questions to consider: What could help gauge our interest? How can we get  information to schools?
      • Bring ideas to Jan. 10 meeting
    2. President-elect vacancy
    3. Fall membership drive – Julie Anderson
      • 44 members as of 11/15, we are really down in numbers state and council wide ~Are we and how can we get to all school districts?
      • Are members getting enough out of being a member?
    4. State-wide book study – Nancy Wright
      • 1 person this year, 2 people last year
    5. Newsletter – Megan Benson
      • Need a plan to promote
    6. Miscellaneous
      • Noted that having a State Coordinator would be a great person to help coordinate a  webinar series
  8. New Business
    1. President-elect and Vice President
      • Nancy White shared that she hasn’t pursued a Vice President yet
      • Discuss more at Jan. 10 meeting as part of Feasibility
    2. Items to discuss at January 10 full board meeting
      • Future feasibility of conference, decisions are going to have to be made
    3.  Miscellaneous
      • Jill shared amount of money in account and discussion was held about incoming  and outgoing
      • Discussed benefits of being a member and having a conference…comments that  were made:
        • conferences – having attended for 25+ years, hearing from well known authors &  speakers, learning best practices from teachers in the field
        • Develop leadership abilities
        • Local meetings – gained friendships and idea swapping
        • Exposure
