Hardy Reading Council Receives ILA Honor Award

Hardy Reading Council has earned its 39th year of being awarded the Honor Council status by the International Literacy Association!

Iowa Reading Association is proud to have a local reading council achieve Honor Council status this year.

The International Literacy Association (ILA) awards local reading councils the Honor Council status based on accomplishments for the previous year.

Councils submitted documentation of:

  • Service to council members
  • Service to local community
  • Service to international community
  • Partnership with state association and with ILA.

Honor Award

Presented to those local, student, and special interest chapters that organize and conduct well-rounded programs serving the chapter members, the community, the state/provincial chapter, and the International Literacy Association. Chapters are recognized for accomplishments of the previous year. Honor Award winners are listed first by state or province, and then in order of total years Honor Award status has been achieved.
