Webcast for Members of Iowa Reading Association

There will be a webcast on January 13, 2025 at 6:30 P.M. with guest speaker Dr. Timothy Rasinki. Members will be invited by email to join the Zoom session.

Webcast synopsis –Artfully Teaching the Science of Reading: In this session, Dr. Rasinski will make the case that the best instruction in reading is both artful and science-based. He will define what he means by artful and describe how we have gotten away from artful instruction. Then, he will provide actionable approaches for teaching the science-based components of reading instruction (phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension) in artful and engaging ways.
