Award Criteria
Celebrate Literacy Award recognizes an individual, agency or institution for significant contributions to literacy. This celebration of literacy will familiarize the public with literacy activities actually carried out in local, national, or international communities and will call attention to work being done to promote literacy as a “universal concern.” The nomination for this award should be a program that has been created by an individual or group at the local level. (It should not be an already established program provided for general use.) Each council president receives one nomination form to present to the council. As a group, the council will select a nominee. No other persons will receive nomination forms.
Type a 1-2 page description of the nominee’s qualifications for the Celebrate Literacy Award
